Over the next few months, I’m going to be highlighting some of my favorite restaurants and businesses in the local area.
Since community is a big part of my ethos, I want to help spread the word about the independent businesses that stand out in Abilene.
First up, we have Vagabond Pizza, which serves some of the best wood-fired pizza, creative appetizers, and sinful desserts.
Everyone at Holland Hearing Center can agree that Vagabond is one of our favorite local businesses to visit. Our insurance specialist, Kristina, is a particular fan. She adds, “The vagabond Salad is probably the best salad I have had.
“I was expecting a simple house salad type and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the fresh ingredients paired so well together with balsamic dressing.”
For entrée, Kristina’s favorite has been the Lucia pizza. Initially, she was hesitant to try the jalapeno jelly, but it paired perfectly with the salami and mozzarella. Kristina adds that she “even eats the crust.”
Dr. Sue-Ann had a great time there for her birthday. She said “what a special treat to have this wood-fired pizza at my birthday party! It was devoured in no time.”
Our hearing aid technician, Collin, is also a regular at Vagabond Pizza, as he explains “My whole family loves Vagabonds. We have a standard order every time we go.
“A Lucia for me, a Margarita for my wife, and a special soda to top it all off.
Brenna’s favorite thing to order is the Carnivore pizza!
The best part about Vagabond pizza is that it is a personal favorite for my son, Ryan. It’s become a tradition to go to Vagabonds for any special occasion.
Jessica and Jason even gifted us a pizza and a bottle of wine the day we had our second-born, Landri.
Next time you’re in the area, give them a try.
If you have any leftovers, you can drop them off at our office any time…
