Our Hear for the Holidays Giveaway Winner Is…

01/07/2021 | News, Patient Resources

After a challenging year, we wanted to give back to the great people of Abilene and change someone’s life for the better. As audiologists, we have the honor of practicing hearing care on our patients each day and are aware of the withstanding impact it can have on many people’s lives.

That’s why we wanted to give one special individual the chance of receiving an award-winning package, so they can be connected to their loved ones once again through the power of hearing.

Announced in December, we gave the community the chance to nominate someone deserving to win a free pair of hearing aids as well as access to expert hearing care.

After reviewing over 35 nominations, we were blown away by your thoughtful words and stories. Above all, we were so glad to spread some positivity through these dark times and outline how special each one of you is.

Drum roll, please… Nominated by his wife, Heather Williams, the winner is Jeremy!

After reading an emotional one thousand words written by his wife, it was clear there was one obvious winner.

Jeremy Williams:

Serving many years as an Abilene community officer as a firefighter, hazmat trained specialist, and crew officer, Jeremy has spent many years caring for others and giving back to his country.

His efforts were recognized in 2019 as he was selected as Fire Officer of the Year for the Cory of Abilene and by the VFM. This only paints the extremely kind, patient, and humble character Jeremy is and how much he has impacted everyone’s life around him.

As a result of his physically exerting job, damage to his hearing has been a devastating product of his daily environment, resulting in a difficult conversation with the doctor at 42 years of age. Like many others, hearing care is often overlooked, meaning his condition has only digressed over the years.

Our specialists at Holland Hearing were honored to invite Jeremy down to receive his complimentary hearing aid fitting and meet the honorable gentleman that he is. Hearing is central to our everyday lives, and we were so glad to be able to provide the beacon toward an improved quality of life and better hearing. Above all, we were glad to allow Jeremy to continue serving the community and connect him to his loved ones once again.
