The process of improving your hearing health is a journey, but it’s not one that you must traverse alone. At Holland Hearing Center, we are committed to helping you every step of the way with support, guidance, and professional care that will help you achieve the results you’re looking for.
Many people put off seeking hearing care because they are apprehensive about what the process entails. This is why we’re breaking down the patient journey for you step by step. Read on to learn about what you can expect when you visit Holland Hearing Center for professional hearing care.
The Patient Journey at Holland Hearing
If you think you may be experiencing symptoms of a hearing loss, it’s important to seek help right away. Left untreated, hearing loss will only worsen and can lead to other problems like anxiety, depression, and isolation.
Step 1: Find the most trusted hearing expert
If you’re searching for the most trusted hearing care professionals in Abilene, look no further. Our team has helped tens of thousands of people achieve better hearing throughout the years. We are committed to providing award-winning care and great technology.
Step 2: Call our office and schedule an appointment
You can schedule an appointment for a comprehensive hearing assessment by calling our office at (325) 437-4730. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! If you’d like us to check your insurance benefits prior to your appointment, you can complete the form on this page, and our insurance specialist will contact your insurance provider on your behalf.
Step 3: Comprehensive hearing evaluation
When you visit us for a comprehensive hearing assessment, we will spend some time getting to know you and your symptoms. Then, we will visually inspect both the outer and inner parts of your ears. Don’t worry – this is painless! Next, you’ll enter our dedicated sound booth where you’ll listen to noises played through a set of headphones.
If no hearing loss is detected, you’ll want to arrange an annual hearing evaluation to stay on top of your hearing health in case anything changes. Just as you’d see your eye doctor for an annual exam, you should see your audiologist regularly!
If hearing loss is detected, your audiologist will discuss your options for treatment with you.
Step 4: Treatment plan discussion and selection
We understand that treatment for hearing loss is never one size fits all. At Holland Hearing Center, we work with each patient to find the very best solution based on the outcome of the evaluation, long-term goals, preferences, and budget.
Step 5: Device activation and verification
Should you be a good candidate for hearing devices, we will help get your devices activated and set up. We’ll ensure that you’re comfortable using them as well as any relevant cell phone apps.
Step 6: Customized real-world adjustments
At your follow-up appointments, we will adjust your devices based on your observations as you wear your hearing aids out in the real world.
Step 7: Hearing optimization
We want to ensure that you’re reaching your long-term goals for pursuing hearing care. If you have a concern that would be best solved with a hearing aid accessory, we will also discuss adding that to your treatment plan.
Step 8: Best in class, ongoing service, care, and adjustments
Our journey together doesn’t end after you receive your hearing aids. You’ll likely need ongoing adjustments, cleanings, and hearing aid repairs along the way. Our team is here for you no matter what problems you encounter.
